MLEDP offers year-round child care. We are always looking for qualified people who are interested in helping children in a Before and After School setting as well as a Summer Program. As a member of our Mt Lebanon Extended Day staff, you will focus on the social/emotional learning of children in grades K-5 and you can expect to:
- Create a safe and FUN (friendly, understanding and nurturing) environment for school age children
- Work in a collaborative and inclusive environment with a team who values open communication, new ideas, continuous quality improvement and mutual respect
- Receive ongoing feedback, mentoring, and professional development
Your typical responsibilities:
- Set up and engage children with daily scheduled activities
- Assist with homework assignments
- Facilitate STEAM clubs and activities, art projects and gym/playground games for a group of up to 12 children
- Foster positive interactions among children
Ideal candidates will:
- Have passion for working with school-age children.
- 2 years of experience working with children
- High School Diploma, CDA, associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred.
