School Age and Kindergarten Care
Is there a minimum number of days you are required to be enrolled?
There is a minimum enrollment of 3 days per week, per session, per child.
Do the days my child attends care have to be the same each week?
Yes, you will select a schedule at enrollment, and it will be the same each week. We are not able to accommodate one-time schedule adjustments or additions to your contracted schedule. You can, however, make a permanent schedule change at any time with 2 weeks’ notice.
Can I change my schedule?
Yes, you can change your schedule at any time with 2 weeks notice by submitting the Permanent Schedule Change form here: Permanent Schedule Change Form
Is there a cost associated with adjusting your schedule?
No, there is no cost to change your schedule, but we do require 2 weeks notice to process your schedule change.
Is MLEDP open when school is not in session?
On days when the school buildings and offices are open, MLEDP offers “Long Day Care” from 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM.
On days when the school buildings are closed, MLEDP is also closed.

What happens when there is a delayed start?
When Mt. Lebanon School District has a delayed start, MLEDP will also have a delayed start.
The Before School Session will be open from 9:00 – 10:30 AM
The AM Kindergarten Care Session will be open from 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM
We will run a modified bus schedule
The PM Kindergarten Care Session will start at 12:30 – 3:30 PM
The After School Session will be unaffected
What happens when the school closes or goes to remote instruction?
If Mt. Lebanon School District closes or goes to remote instruction due to inclement weather or emergency, MLEDP will be closed.
If a delay becomes a closing, MLEDP will be closed, and you will be contacted to pick your child up if they are already in care.
