Program: MLEDP generally is open Monday – Friday, before school, 7:00 am to 8:30 am and after school 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm, except on days that Mt. Lebanon School District buildings are closed (scheduled holiday breaks, emergency closings)
School Delays: MLEDP provides care from 9:00 AM until the start of school when Mt. Lebanon School District announces a (10:30 am) delayed start. If a delay becomes a closing, MLEDP will close. MLEDP will contact parents and ask them to pick up their children.
Scheduling Care: Parent must select a minimum of 3 days per week for their child to attend care before and/or after school. These 3 days will be the same each week (unless a permanent schedule change is made). You may not switch days or enroll for a varying schedule. Days may be added to your schedule for an additional cost.
Long Days: MLEDP offers Long-Day Care, when the school district buildings are open but children are not scheduled to be in class (parent conference days, clerical and in-service days). Parent understands that a separate sign-up is required for these days. A deadline for changes will be published for each Long Day. Once the deadline has passed, no additions or cancellations can be made. Care on Long-days is not part of this Registration Schedule Payment Agreement, and will be billed at an additional cost
Child Release Information: MLEDP is required to only release children to a Designated Release Person listed on myprocare.com. A Designated Release Person must be 16 years of age or older.
MLEDP Policy for Transferring Care between Child Care Facility and School: The MLEDP morning session operated in the school buildings from 7:00 AM – 8:25 AM. At the end of the session, children are dismissed from MLEDP to walk directly to their classrooms. Once dismissed, children are under the school’s supervision and no longer under MLEDP Care.
MLEDP Partners with Durham Bus Services to transport kindergarten students between MLEDP sites and their designated home schools. A dedicated MLEDP kindergarten staff member will accompany the children on the bus to ensure their safety and comfort during transit. Additionally, an MLEDP bus waiter staff will be stationed at the designated bus drop-off areas to receive the children upon arrival. The MLEDP bus waiter escorts the children directly to their classroom for the start of the afternoon kindergarten session at 12:45 PM. Morning Kindergarten care children who attend afternoon kindergarten at Hoover, Howe, and Lincoln are escorted to their classroom by MLEDP kindergarten care staff.

Typical Days are listed on the SYC Schedule Calendar Information Panel. See the SYC Rate Guide Panel for individual rates.
Payments Non-Refundable: Parent understands that all payments are non-refundable. Parent is responsible for payment of fees as contracted, regardless of illness of the child, or other unanticipated absence from child care including vacations. In addition, MLEDP may be required to close for weather, emergencies, or unplanned cancellations of in-person school instruction. Days missed due to emergencies, unexpected school closings or cancellation of in-person instruction will not be refunded or credited.
